An interesting set of three sheets showing the development and realisation of this linocut subject. This set is comprised of a signed, early oil pastel drawing of the subject, a signed pencil drawing of the composition and an impression of the final state of the linocut.

Note:
Larry Zox, like other American artists including Wayne Thiebaud and John McLaughlin, travelled to Vallauris in order to work with Hidalgo Arnéra, famed for being the linocut printer with whom Picasso worked. Arnéra printed all of Picasso's postwar linocuts.
